DAY TRIP UPDATE: From DeWaine...
It was a wonderfully warm day to be out on a day trip of bear viewing. We had a very nice encounter with a fox and a very hungry 4-5 year old male grizzly in Nancy’s Meadow. And I included one of the drainage network from Swikshack. One of the beautiful “extras” that one gets with us. Clients from Germany were very pleased!

Japanese planes from two carriers bombed Fort Mears at Dutch Harbor and fighter planes strafed the fort, the Navy station, and Unalaska village. Twenty-five soldiers and sailors were killed. The Japanese made a second attack the following day. In all, 44 were killed and 71 were wounded in the two attacks

This morning Brad went out to the point and down on the beach was a momma grizzly and an older cub clamming at the tidal flats. There was another bear napping at the bootleg. No new wolf tracks today. Otherwise, it is a rainy day, but nature's critters are enjoying it!
