End of Summer Fishing! ©DTollefsrud

Hallo Bay Bear Camp
End of Summer Fishing!

CAMP UPDATE:
Autumn has arrived at Camp! The leaves are changing to bright yellow.  Brad says the eagle family (with eaglets now juveniles) are still in the area of the creek and feeding on whatever fish are still there.  The bears are populating the beach and shoreline tidal flats doing some fishing or clamming. The cubs this year were very healthy looking, and for that we say a silent prayer. The wolves, otters, beavers and other critters have been looking healthy as well. There is a feeling in the air that only comes when Mother Nature sends out her quiet summons to all wildlife: to eat more and migrate to home territory, or fly away before winter storms arrive.  If the recent weather is any indication, we're going to have a very cold winter in Alaska. Meantime, we're lovin' life out at Camp.
