Snowy Rabbit
Upon small furry feet
A scurry of silent action,
The bunny searches
For any grass or twig
The snow has not covered.
Digging quietly
Like a thief in the night,
An alert watchful eye
Casting about for danger
Whilst winter food is meager.
A catch of pinecones
Hidden under the bush,
Makes a wintertime feast
And warms a furry belly.
Silently hopping back to a burrow,
Fluffing fur and stroking ears
Surviving through another snow storm,
To dream of warmer days
