Friends: Edward Mendell

EDWARD MENDELL
(1920 to 2007)

It seems Christmas is a good time to stop and think about wonderful times, adventures and the people that were a part of those moments in time and consider ourselves fortunate to have shared it with special people.

Edward Mendell (1920 to 2007) was such a person, he believed Alaska was the most beautiful of the 50 States. Edward was guided by Simyra to photograph the Alaska Brown Bears at Hallo Bay, June 25 to June 30, 2004. Simyra considers the time spent to walk with a man of such spirit and perseverance as Edward Mendell, one of the greatest privileges in her life.

If you get a few moments, have a look at his web page, even though he has crossed the river, many visitors have come to Alaska because of his words and photos. http://www.edwardmendell.com

We have made it a New Years Resolution to remember people who made a difference in their time. Maybe we did not recognize that difference then, but it is not too late.
