Use your creative talents to help educate Alaska visitors and residents about how to be safe around bears. Members of the public are invited to submit entertaining and informative short bear safety videos (less than two minutes in length) about how to live and recreate responsibly in bear country. Videos will be used in the Anchorage Bear Committee’s education and outreach efforts.
Entries due by June 1, 2010, 4:30p (AK time!)
Prize: A half-day bear viewing tour for one person to Katmai National Park courtesy of Alaska’s Hallo Bay Bear Camp, Smokey Bay Air and Grant Aviation. Trip includes bush plane airfare from Homer to Hallo Bay, a naturalist guide, plus roundtrip airfare from Anchorage to Homer.
