gray pawCamp Update by Brad:

The winds were pretty gusty yesterday, sometimes at 30+ mph. While out doing Camp inspection, Brad briefly watched an eagle trying to fly from the beach to a nearby tree, when a gust took the bird 50 feet sideways and almost crashing into the front of the Galley. But not to worry, the eagle made it safely to perch in a tree not far from Camp. They are wonderful creatures to watch on a normal basis, and amazing to watch navigate in high winds! Brad said there are lots of eagles in the area now, some are even nesting on the "Rock" in front of Camp.
Spring/Summer vegetation is growing by leaps and bounds. Birch and alders are leafing out, meadow grasses are lush & deep (remember our bear "hump" pic from a couple of days ago?), and it is due to all those long hours of sunlight (see our weather report). Yes, life is good at Hallo Bay Camp.
