Spring begins...


The snows have left, and now the rain and sunshine have brought forth another season of new growth to Hallo Bay. Enjoy this tiny little fern:

  1. I believe what you have there is a young Yarrow belonging to the genus Achillea -named because its association with Achilles of vulnerable heal fame. It has many native uses most notible is its ability to staunch blood flow in wounds."and it REALLY, REALLY works folks!" Other uses include mosquito repellant, teas, and as an aromatic. Cool plant.
