Update from Brad:
This little plover should be up for an academy award. What an act she put on for us! During one of our hikes we must have got close to the nest as she put on the 'injured act' with wing flapping and all to get our attention and draw us away from the nest area. Of course when we didn't follow her, she miraculousy healed only to reposition herself and try it all over again, but we were careful to avoid the nest site as to not disturb it.
