Field Notes: from John 07.05.10

gray paw Field Notes from John:

"Rainy this morning! Didn't seem to bother the bears too much. Several bears spotted in meadow, including Mom, Jethro and Ellie Mae, The Hillbilly Bears! Later in afternoon, Mom and 2 spring cubs popped their heads over the dune just past Cut-off Trailhead. One look was enough - they disappeared back into alders. At the meadow two sub-adult males briefly mimicked World Wrestling Federation. Bigger boy did cowboy walk then started grazing again.
Wind out of Southeast - a good omen for salmon run!"
