Guests: Bear Watching

A few days ago we had a group of "day trippers" who were weathered-in at Camp:

Bear joy or talking1) This whole trip was a great experience. We went on a daytrip to HaloBay . The weather got rough and we were not able to return to Homer. We had to stay at the camp which was awesome. The staff was excellent and very helpful A great bunch of people. They treated us just like family. They provided us with food, shelter, beds, and were very kind. expericeing the bear viewing was great -- saw some bears fishing, sleeping and feeding. the staff went an extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and warm. A very memorable experience which I will never forget. Thanks a bunch it all the staff and guides It was much appreciated! Love you guys -you run a great camp. Bonnie

Bear joy or talking 2) This whole trip was an awesome time! The first thought when found out we couldn't fly back out from our daytrip ,was most likely we are never going home and now we stuck in the rain. Thankfully the caring and wonderful people at Hallo Bay Camp took us in. Great food ,shelter and fun people to talk to while we waited the weather out. overall the trip was to good to be true. I would recommend to stay at Hallo Bay Camp. Thank you to their staff ! If you want an amazing adventure with brown bears come here! John was the best guide ever ,so fun to listen to his stories!

  2. With the few daytrippers that were caught in the sudden storm, it’s nice to know that one of the comforting things about booking a tour with Hallo Bay Wilderness Camp is that our guests are assured that their safety and well being is always of the utmost importance to us. It is for these reasons that in 21 years of guiding people to the bears on the wild and remote Pacific Coast of Katmai National Park we have never had a guest hurt or injured in anyway while in our care.
