John's Camp Diary: August 2009

We were in Clint's Creek area all day. The Pink Salmon (humpy) are unmistakably beginning to run. Ted, Audrey, and another male worked the creek till afternoon. A young male, surprisingly clammed in the early morning hours. Ted and an unidentified female jock-eyed for control of the fishing hole at mouth of the creek, and again at the sea in the evening. Ted ambled past and acted as if he were finished fishing, then the female splashed water, so Ted returned briefly running the female off again, and then sauntered past us again. Classic photos were taken by all guests. Another great day at Hallo Bay Bear Camp.
