Our Guide, DeWaine, sent this message about his June 1st adventure: Hallo was still socked in, so we elected to take our daytrippers back to Chinitna Bay where we have been seeing bears. Our efforts were rewarded by being treated to see 8 bears from a very comfortable viewing spot overlooking the meadow. Two sets of Sows and their twin cubs were observed munching the newly sprouted greenery and the cubs played and rested. Two adults were observed playing the bear equivalent of "The Dating Game." The weather was cool, yet quite nice, as it allowed the bears - still in their winter coats - to remain active. A grand day! (a link to geomap will be posted soon)
